How to Apply for Punjab E-Taxi Program 2025 | Electric Vehicle Registration Guide

Under the Green & Clean Transport Initiative, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has launched the E-Taxi Program 2025 in Lahore. This pilot project, introduced by the Transport and Mass Transit Department in collaboration with the Bank of Punjab, aims to promote an eco-friendly, efficient, and modern urban transport system using electric vehicles (EVs).

The registration process is now open for OEMs, suppliers, and dealers to submit their EV car models that meet safety and performance standards. Citizens will be able to choose from a list of government-approved electric taxi models, ensuring quality and compliance.

To encourage adoption, the Government of Punjab is offering up to PKR 6.5 million per vehicle, including a BOP interest-free loan and full vehicle registration coverage. Applications must be submitted by June 24, 2025, and all relevant documents can be downloaded from transport.punjab.gov.pk.

• Must offer electric cars meeting taxi standards.

• Must provide after-sales service in Lahore.
